About

Nicomachos is a new climate litigation fund built to complement the work of existing funds, legal actors, and movements. We look for projects that are audacious, high-reward, innovative and system changing in approach.

We don’t just fund cases—we help build them from the ground up; from funding essential early research to matching other funders.

We back projects with the potential to:

  1. Enforce emissions reductions by major emitters and their supply chains
  2. Establish legal accountability for polluters who harm people, ecosystems and the climate, and
  3. Protecting the rights of communities in the Global South who are disproportionately affected by climate change

Please note that we are not accepting applications yet.

The Ethica Nicomachea is the Greek philosopher Aristotle's major work on ethics. Both his father and son were named Nicomachos, and tradition holds that his son played a key role in recording and preserving this foundational text.

We draw on Aristotle's legacy not only for its name, but for what it represents: a belief that justice is not just a concept, but a practice—one that requires courage and action.

In that spirit, Nichomachos supports those using the law to confront the defining ethical challenge of our time: the climate crisis.
